Born September 25, 1952.

Education

Graduated from the Faculty of Physics of the Far-Eastern State University in 1974, got “diplom s otlichiem” (Russian degree, equal to post-baccalaureate, 5th year level degree).

Experience

Vladimir S. Rudnev has been working in the Institute of Chemistry, Far-Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, since 1974, first as an assistant researcher, then as an associate research officer, research officer, senior research officer, head of the group, and head of the laboratory of Plasma – Electrolytic Process (since 2003).

Vladimir S. Rudnev defended his Candidate thesis in 1986. Its theme was: “Regularities of the Black Hydrocarbon Films Formation and the Influence of their Thickness and Tension on the Ionic Channels Parameters”.

His thesis for a Doctor’s degree was: “Physicochemical Regularities of Oxide Structures Direct Formation on Aluminum and its Alloys in Electrolytes at Arcing and Electric Breakdown Potentials”, it was successfully defended in 2002.

Vladimir S. Rudnev currently gives lectures “Physics and Chemistry of Materials and Coatings”, “Physical methods of control and investigations” for the students of the Far-Eastern State Technical University, Vladivostok.

He has been a research supervisor to 3 seekers of Candidate degree; more than 20 students have done their diploma, magistracy, baccalaureate projects under his supervision.
